Shawangunk Valley Firehouse Expansion

With grant funding from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Shawangunk Valley Fire District is excited to embark on a building expansion to allow room for additional emergency response apparatus, storage of medical supplies, a gym/training facility for members, as well as a building exhaust system to improve the health of emergency responders.

Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and be completed by March 2027. We will be launching a construction dashboard so you can track progress and expenditures. You can also contribute donations towards equipment and furnishing of the new addition.
